I would direct the researchers as well to the book of the famous Musicologist Curt Sachs who wrote the book “The history of musical instruments” 1940 or 2006 editions.
They can go to pages 86 to 104 on “Egypt” and possibly go to pages 105 to 127 Israel.

But on page 101 they can read Quote:” From the classic Greek and the modern Nubian and Abyssinian lyres, we can conclude that the tuning was pentatonic, even when the number of strings was greater than 5.” Unquote.

It is known that from 332 BC to 1936 AD Egypt did not sleep one night as a free country. ALL the invaders/colonizers were on Heptatonic or 7 notes. We believe that the pharaonic Egypt was on pentatonic like most of Africa, India, China, Japan ….. But the Arabs and Islam caused most of the change to the tonality and culture of Egyptians.
